TODAY’S QUOTE
When people go to work, they shouldn't have to leave their hearts at home.

HAPPY THURSDAY !!
Here we are with a new month to celebrate ! We know now that the warmer days and summer weather will soon be here. Daylight hours are getting longer and longer and we know that the sun is shinning much more too!
The merry month of May brings lots of celebrations to our family. This Sunday will be the first of many as we’ll be celebrating our Star’s First Communion and our Angel’s birthday too ! This time I get to celebrate with them. I don’t always have that blessing for sure.
I made it over the HUMP of this week and can now take the down hill slide into the weekend. It’ll be another busy one as I’ll leave after work on Friday for the camper and then return home early on Sunday to go to DS#3’s little part of the world for the First Communion/Birthday celebration.
DS#5 and his wife will be going along with me and then DD and her hubby will come a little later in the day. I think DS#1 and his family is planning on driving up too.
For a look at the family activities for this month you can check out my web page for the FAMILY NEWSLETTER http://hometown.aol.com/marainey1/myhomepage/holidaynewsletter.html
Thankfully the weather is supposed to be pretty nice. We do have a chance of showers Friday, Saturday and maybe Sunday, but I’m hoping if it must rain that it does it at night and not during the day. We’ll see. . .
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU !
25 WORDS

TO REMEMBER…

TODAY IS… MOTHER GOOSE DAY!
Who was Mother Goose? The answer is many different writers. The term "Mother Goose" has been traced back to 1650 when a French book carried the line, "Like a Mother Goose story". It was first used in the title of a nusery rhyme collection about 1765 when "Mother Goose's Melody" was published. The name caught on, and nusery rhymes have been attributed to Mother Goose ever since.

TODAY’S SMILE
Tom was in his early 50s, retired and started a second career. However, he just couldn't seem to get to work on time. Every day, he was five, 10, 15 minutes late. But, he was a good worker and real sharp, so the boss was in a quandary about how to deal with it.
Finally, one day he called Tom into his office for a talk. "Tom, I have to tell you, I like your work ethic. You do a bang- up job, but your being late so often is quite bothersome."
"Yes, I know boss and I am working on it." "Well good, you are a team player. That's what I like to hear. It's odd though, your coming in late. I know you're retired from the Air Force. What did they say if you came in late there"?
"They said, 'Good morning, General.'"
ONE MORE...
A thirty-eight-year-old scrubwoman would go to the movies and sigh, "If only I had her looks." She would listen to a singer and moan, "If only I had her voice." Then one day someone gave her a copy of the book, The Magic of Believing.
She stopped comparing herself with actresses and singers. She stopped crying about what she didn't have and started concentrating on what she did have. She took inventoryof herself and remembered that in high school she had a reputation for being the funniest girl around.
She began to turn her liabilities into assets. A few years ago Phyllis Diller made over $1 million in one year. She wasn't good looking and she had a scratchy voice, but she could make people laugh.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.
Ephesians 4:14
You hear people say, "I really don't know who I am or what I'm doing here. I'm so confused!" You can really feel lost and even helpless, when you lack a feeling of identity. But this isn't possible, when we firmly believe that we are God's children.
We can smile and sing "He's got the whole world in his hands," knowing that he loves us and knows each one of us by name. We are special and we feel so grateful . . .If you know that, you can be a winner!
