HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY !!
It is the last day of the work week for me and I'll be leaving for the campsite soon as I get home and pick up the beagle. Once again the weather is 50/50 and I'm hoping the 50% is not rain for sure.
Work was so quiet yesterday, that I'm wondering what I can do at all today...seems to be much to slow for me. More and more I am accomplishing what is needed to be done in 3 days. I won't know how to act when we get busy and my desk is loaded once again.
I'll see you all again come Monday morning. Keep happy safe and well.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
Give this heart to everyone you don't want to lose in '08 (including me if you care). Try to collect 12. It's not easy!
Never take someone for granted Hold every person close to your heart
Because you might wake up one day
And realize that you've lost a diamond
While you were too busy collecting stones.
May your todays be half as good as your tomorrows.
May the Lord keep you in His hand
And never close His fist too tight.
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God, and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY IS…WEAR PURPLE DAY
Why was purple worn by royalty? Mainly because purple dyes were so hard to make. Using lichen, the plant had to react with ammonia (this meant urine in ancient days) and sit out in the air for 2 weeks. Then it was mixed with pot ash to be used as a dye. This was much harder than just boiling berries or leaves for other colors, so purple dye was only for the wealthy. Today, all you have to do is spill some grape kool-aid and everything turns purple.

TODAY’S WORD
paean \PEE-uhn\, noun:

2. An expression of praise or joy.
Paean comes from Latin paean, "a hymn of thanksgiving, often addressed to god Apollo," from Greek paian, from Paia, a title of Apollo.
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Nehemiah 8:10
Don't you enjoy seeing a field of wildflowers springing up along the road? And recently, thanks to Ladybird Johnson's influence, some states have actually planted red, blue and golden wildflowers along the median strips between the interstate lanes. They are so bright and colorful! We pay big prices to grow roses, orchids, and other lovely flowers, but wildflowers can grow and bloom for us to enjoy without help from anyone
Perhaps we Christians could learn a lesson from these flowers. We are just ordinary people. We get no special attention from the world. But the Bible tells us that God knows each and every one of us by name. "… but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven." (Luke 10:20). We are promised special attention from God, for Jesus said, "Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" (Matthew 6:30)
Isn't that something that should make us very glad? Shouldn't we show the world our joy. Like the wildflowers, we can show our smiling faces and make the world a better place. http://www.ourprayer.org
