HAPPY MONDAY!!

BACK TO WORK !

I'm sure looking forward to the short week ahead. Two important days come at the end of the week for me. Friday we'll do our OLD FASHIONED Christmas shopping and Saturday we'll have the FAMILY FEAST.

I'll be paying double duty at work this week though as I'll have to do everything in 3 days that usually takes 5. I have been having a time of it keeping up as it is, so I'll be praying for a little extraq strength my self this week. I'm promising my self to go to bed early each night in the hopes that that will help.

DS#4 and family will be leaving today to go see DDIL#4's folks for Thanksgiving. They do seem to spend a lot of time traveling here or there, but thankfully, it's only a 1 day trip not 2 or 3. So I will be praying for a safe trip for them back and forth this week.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S PRAYERS

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

I am in the hands of God,

and in God's time all things will be made well.

TODAY IS…PENCIL DAY

Celebrating the invention of the modern pencil in 1895

Frederick E. Blaisdell of Philadelphia, PA patented what he called the paper pencil -- a paper-wrapped pencil with a string for revealing more lead, like those china markers you buy these days

Let me get right to the point .... Happen Pencil Day!

TODAY’S SMILE

Laugh at life whenever possible, and accept each day as a precious gift! Laughter is Good for the Soul !

BE THANKFUL

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

TODAY’S WORD

comport \kum-PORT\, transitive verb:

1. To conduct or behave (oneself) in a particular manner.

intransitive verb: 1. To be fitting; to accord; to agree -- usually followed by 'with'.

Comport comes from Medieval French comporter, "to conduct," from Latin comportare, "to carry, to bring together," from com-, "with, together" + portare, "to carry."

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Children, listen to me, and I will teach you to respect the Lord

Psalm 34:11

I believe God expects us to give our children these four things:

* all the unconditional love and affirmation they can hold

* a great parental model to follow

* a Christian value system on which they can build their lives

* great family memories

All parents can give their kids four gifts. We can model what we need to be, because our Father modeled for us. We can give unconditional love, because Jesus gave it to us. And the Bible contains the value system to live by, and the great memories are a by-product of the other three.
