TODAY’S QUOTE

It's kind of fun to do the impossible.

HAPPY MONDAY !

Another weekend gone and back to work today ! I really had a relaxing weekend and was terribly lazy on Sunday It was very cool, but sunny and I even managed to sit awhile on the patio and read a little. The warm sun felt very good -- that’s the first time I’ve just done nothing in a loooong time.

The only evening I have to go out this will be Tuesday as it’s our monthly dulcimer night, which is always fun.

Remember… Love like there is no tomorrow, because one day there will not be a tomorrow.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way!

TODAY IS…RED ROSE DAY

Fossil records of roses date back 3.5 billion years. Jumping ahead to the 1600s, colonists brought the rose to America making it the oldest European plant grown in the US. "Modern" rose hybrids appeared in 1867, and by 1920 hybrid tea roses dominated the market. These roses remain the most popular variety today. Red roses are the national US flower, and also signify love and respect.

Hard Day Today

The businessman dragged himself home and barely made it to his chair before he dropped exhausted. His sympathetic wife was right there with a tall cool drink and a comforting word.

"My, you look tired," she said. "You must have had a hard day today. What happened to make you so exhausted?"

"It was terrible," her husband said. "The computer broke down and all of us had to do our own thinking."

TODAY’S REFLECTION

But now, dear lady, I ask you, not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning, let us love one another.

2 John 1.5

The essence of Christian faith is love. That means loving all people ‑‑ even those who misuse us, and that means doing good to all people ‑‑ even those whom we may not approve of, and that means leaving our comfort zone from time to time for acts of extraordinary concern.

It is the primary way we share Christ with the world.
