TODAY'S THOUGHT

Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do . . . Where there's love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.

 Ella Fitzgerald

  TODAY'S ACTION

Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does

TODAY'S RESOLUTION

I shall always try to shine the light of
God’s love out to the world by how
I act, what I think, and how I show
others Christ is alive in me

 TODAY'S QUOTE

Never look down on anybody unless you're helping them up.
Rev. Jesse Jackson

   TODAY IS...ZIEGFELD FOLLIES DAY

Florenz Ziegfeld was one of America greatest theatrical producers. From 1907 until his death in 1932, his Ziegfeld Follies were a highlight of New York entertainment. Famous for elaborate staging, he hired big stars like Fannie Brice, Eddie Cantor, Will Rogers and W.C. Fields. But, his trademark was the beautiful chorus line. Just as girls later dreamed of being a Rockette, girls of his day dreamed of being a Ziegfeld girl

TODAY'S SMILE

M & M Philosophy for Women!
(The Woman's Survival Kit)

At the first sign of hot flashes, eat a RED one.

Eat an ORANGE one to minimize depression.

The GREEN one calms your frustrations when you want to be left alone.

If you feel a headache coming on, eat a PURPLE one.

The BLUE ones reduce bloating.

You can eat the BROWN ones ANYTIME!!

If all symptoms occur at the same time...

Eat the WHOLE BAG!

AND FROM THE NEWS...

White House insiders say the Live 8 concerts didn't exactly convince President Bush to do more for the people of Africa. But that's because when he saw Pink Floyd, The Who, and Paul McCartney performing, he just assumed it was another senior citizen protest against his Social Security plan

NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft launched a missile that blasted a comet million of miles away. It's not clear why the Bush Administration is angry at a comet.

The last time a comet hit the Earth it turned all the dinosaurs into oil deposits

A track from a three-toed dinosaur believed to be about 70 million years old has been discovered in a Denali National Park in Alaska. Nobody's worried. A dinosaur that old is probably harmless.
Probably can't even remember when he had teeth

Colorado researchers say slow walking may be the best exercise for the obese. Slow walking burns twice as many calories as rolling.

TODAY'S WORD

  kindred
Pronunciation: /KIN-drid/
adj : related by nature or character

Though they don't like to admit it, cardiologists and chiropractors are a kindred lot.

 TODAY'S REFLECTION

Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.   Psalm 37:3

We can really spoil the joy of simple living, when we spend our time fretting. Yet we often allow ourselves to become upset and judgmental .  The psalmist reminds us that God will deal with those people. We are to be concerned with our own faithfulness.

Delight yourself also in the Lord  Be happy in what you're doing and don't compare yourself with others. You are special to God!   And the wonderful promise is that He shall give you the desires of your heart .

TODAY'S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC   Foods defrosted in a microwave oven should be cooked immediately after thawing

 76 DAYS UNTIL AUTUMN

Delight yourself in the Lord
and He will give you the desires of your Heart
Psalm 37:4

 I Love You All !!!

  Be Blessed !!!
