ON THE BRIGHT SIDE MONDAY, JULY 11, 2005

TODAY'S THOUGHT

It's not good enough that we do our best;  sometimes we have to do what's required.

 Winston Churchill

TODAY'S ACTION

Put aside your fear of failure and replace it with effort towards your goals.

 TODAY'S RESOLUTION

At every opportunity, I shall look toward
heaven and in Heaven's gate of joy see the
sweet joy of smiles and laughter, see hearts
soaring upward forever, and see happiness
forever as God's joy falls like rain.

    TODAY'S QUOTE

 Genius is eternal patience.

  Michelangelo

HAPPY MONDAY ! BACK TO WORK

Here we are , sipping coffee and getting ready to go to work again !  Time seems to be going much faster now that the nice weather ishere. I did talk to the Mississippi babes Sunday  and they had boarded up and headed out I'll keep you all updated if I hear more !   Have a great day all !   Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS...TRY CAVIAR DAY

Anyway you look at it, the word "caviar" still means fish eggs. They are washed, and then processed with salt to preserve them until eaten. This is a gourmet treat that's delicious, nutritious and... expensive. Best served on toast points, they should be garnished with finely chopped onion, hard boiled eggs and dill or capers. Caviar is also good for preventing hangovers, but it's much cheaper to just drink some cod liver oil

TODAY'S SMILE
REASONS TO SMILE

How come we choose from just two people to run for president and 50 for Miss America?

I signedup for an exercise class and was told to wear loose-fitting clothing. If I HAD any loose-fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in the first place!

When I was young we used to go "skinny dipping," now I just "chunky dunk."

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press 'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over?

Why is it that our children can't read a Bible in school, but they can in prison?

Wouldn't you know it... Brain cells come and brain cells go, but FAT cells live forever.

Why do I have to swear on the Bible in court when the Ten Commandments cannot be displayed in a federal building?

Bumper sticker of the year:

If you can read this, thank a teacher-

and, since it's in English, thank a soldier

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.   Matthew 7:21

Saying and Doing is not the same thing and Jesus knows our sincerity by our actions It is easy to promise to love one's neighbor, but are we always ready to help another, if we are very busy with our own lives? Sometimes it takes sacrifice to walk our talk, but Jesus did not promise that it would always be easy to follow him.  It would be wise to think before we act, taking time to consider whether or not our action is pleasing to the Lord.
