ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

 SUNDAY, JULY 31, 2005

TODAY'S THOUGHT

Life will give back to you just exactly what you give to life.   Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

TODAY'S ACTION

 Enjoy the abundance of summer

 TODAY'S RESOLUTION

We all make mistakes. We all fail. Sometimes
we err, make mistakes, and fail miserably
When dealing with my weaknesses,
my mistakes, and my sin, I will come to you, Christ,
I will tell you the truth, and pray for
strength to grow and mature as your child

TODAY'S QUOTE

I accept life unconditionally. Life holds so much--
so much to be happy about always.
Most people ask for happiness on condition.
Happiness can be felt only if you don't set conditions.

Artur Rubinstein

HAPPY SUNDAY !

BLESS YOUR SPIRIT DAY !

I'm off to church and then making dinner for my family...The 'Sunshine Babes' should be here about 1:30 and we'll have a family dinner tonite for any and all that can make it in to see them.   Son # 5 has his play and set strike afterwards so he won't be able to come over, but DD and hubby and DDIL#5 and DS#6 should be here.   The fun is just starting.  13 more days until the wedding !!! Should be lots more fun days !!!

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.   Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us. Bless them and their families
for the selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior

Have a great day !  Another wonderful one on the Way !!!

 TODAY IS...COTTON CANDY DAY

Cotton candy is nothing but sugar, air and a little food coloring! And there is no way to make it without special equipment. You have to melt the sugar and spin it through small holes to make threads. The air cools the threads so they form a fluffy web that sticks to a paper cone. And why does it melt in your mouth? If you mix cotton candy with water, it dissolves right back into sugar.

TODAY'S SMILE

A doctor and a lawyer were talking at a party. Their conversation was constantly interrupted by people describing their ailments and asking the doctor for free medical advice.

After an hour of this, the exasperated doctor asked the lawyer, "What do you do to stop people from asking you for legal advice when you're out of the office?"

"I give it to them," replied the lawyer, "and then I send them a bill."

The doctor was shocked, but agreed to give it a try. The next day, still feeling slightly guilty, the doctor prepared the bills. When he went to place them in his mailbox, he found a bill from the lawyer

  TODAY'S REFLECTION

For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.   Psalm 66:10

Many times when we suffer, we pray for God to remove the cause of our pain and we seem to get no answer. Then we begin to believe that God is not listening or we question his love for us.   We value health; he values patience. We value comfort; he values peace. We value life without struggle; he values faith in the midst of struggle. Thus, though he loves us, he doesn't exempt us from the tragic heartaches of life.  Erwin Lutzer
