HAPPY SUNDAY !!

It’s R& R day once more and I have a day planned with nothing but that for sure. Later this morning I’ll be off to church, then DD and I will join my next door sister and go to the shower for DN#3 and his bride to be.

We’ll be traveling a little over an hour there and back and the weather is supposed to sunny and blue skies. It will be a happy time for all! I don’t think any of the rest of the family will be going as its too far away for a day trip for most of them. The rest are busy with other plans.

Saturday was a good day and I was able to get a lot done. The house looks better and there are groceries on the shelf.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…COUNTRY MUSIC DAY

Singing stories began in the Middle Ages and moved to America with the early settlers. By 1900, stories sung to fiddles spread through Appalachia and the Old West. In the 1920s, radio put these fiddlers on the air and created a national audience for the music. "Grand Ole Opry" Master of Ceremonies, George D. Hay, called it "down to earth, for the earthy." We call it country music

TODAY’S REFLECTION

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it?

Isaiah 43:19

Have you ever thought about how many times you do the same chore day after day? It is possible to feel as if you are in a rut and you see no way out of it

Norman Vincent Peale suggested three ways to break out of this dull routine, if it is causing stress:

• Change your pace. Find new ways to do the job. Take time out to rest and do something different for a few minutes.

• Seek the zest in life. Look for the bright and beautiful things around you. Your baby begins to walk. You find a $10 bill you didn't know you had. A dear friend comes by for a visit. Do you perceive the new things God is doing in your life?

• Forget yourself. Take time to do something for someone you love, someone with whom you work or even a total stranger. When you help someone else, you will find joy filling your heart and forcing out the doldrums.

• (And I would add one more:) Thank the Lord!

When you begin to thank the Lord for health, a home, loving friends and family and other blessings, you'll begin to see the new things God is doing in your life

Lord, help me turn any dull rut into your path that is lined with sunshine and guide me to help others to find that same path.

Amen
