HAPPY WEDNESDAY !!

OVER THE HUMP DAY!

It seems the good Lord is letting us enjoy summer a few days longer this year. Autumn has arrived but our days have been sunny and warm. Thankfully I’m still able to sit out for awhile on the patio before dark and enjoy the chorus.

All has been very quiet here, but I’m not complaining as ordinary days are wonderful.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S PRAYERS

For food in a world where many walk in hunger,

For faith in a world where many walk in fear,

For friends in a world where many walk alone,

We give you humble thanks,

O Lord.

Amen

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Trust found only in the Lord's Refuge

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.

Psalm 118:8-9

When difficulties arise, we usually seek advice from anyone who will listen to us. At times we may regret opening our heart to a certain person. We are deeply disappointed that only after everything else fails we turn to the Lord and ask him to help us to decide and discern.

Then we realize that we should have gone to him first. St. Paul reminds us: "Praised be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all consolation! He comforts us in all our afflictions and thus enables us to comfort those who are in trouble, with the same consolation we have received from him. (2 Cor 1:3-4)
