ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

SEPTEMBER 22nd, 2008

TODAY'S THOUGHT

Joy is prayer—Joy is strength—Joy is love—

Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.

Mother Teresa

TODAY’S ACTION

Remember that remarkable achievements begin as thoughts

TODAY’S QUOTE

I sometimes forget that life is fragile. The fact that I have more time to dream my dreams and take my ease is no reason at all to disregard the moment I’m in by preferring to be somewhere else. I have to remind myself that wherever I am. . . fast lane or slow lane, in traffic or out of traffic, racing or resting . . . God is there. He is in me, abiding in me, thus making it possible for me to be all there, myself.

HAPPY MONDAY !!

Happy Fall !

A new day and a new week are ahead and we’ll be hoping it will be a great one!

The good news is that the power is back on at the camper and I can now go camping next weekend. Right now the 7 day forecast is showing nothing but sunshine and temps in the low to upper 70’s during the day and in the 50’s at night.

DD called last evening to say they got all the debris cleaned up around our campsites on Saturday. ((((BIG HUGS TO YOU GUYS)))). They had a lot of work to do as there were branches and limbs all over the place. We were all very fortunate that there was no damage to the campers. She said that her hubby checked out my battery too and it is working. One of the wires had come loose and that’s why it couldn’t work when the power went out.

On my calendar for after work this week it looks pretty quiet except for my Thursday evening Bible Study and leaving for the camper after work on Friday.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S PRAYERS

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

GOD BLESS YOU !

25 WORDS

Happy Fall!

Fall begins. The autumnal equinox is defined as the point at which the Sun appears to cross the celestial equator from north to south. The celestial equator is the circle in the celestial sphere halfway between the celestial poles. It can be thought of as the plane of Earth's equator projected out onto the sphere. Another definition of fall is nights of below-freezing temperatures combined with days of temperatures below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The word equinox means "equal night"; night and day are the same length of time. The spring equinox is in late March. In addition to the equal hours of daylight and darkness, the equinoxes are times when the Sun's apparent motion undergoes the most rapid change. Around the time of the equinoxes, variations in the position on the horizon where the Sun rises and sets can be noticed from one day to the next by alert observers.

Get A Transfer

By Author Unknown

If you are on the Gloomy Line,

Get a transfer.

If you're inclined to fret and pine,

Get a transfer.

Get off the track of doubt and gloom,

Get on the Sunshine Track -there's room-

Get a transfer.

If you're on the Worry Train,

Get a transfer.

You must not stay there and complain,

Get a transfer.

The Cheerful Cars are passing through,

And there's lots of room for you-

Get a transfer.

If you're on the Grouchy Track,

Get a transfer.

Just take a Happy Special back,

Get a transfer.

Jump on the train and pull the rope,

That lands you at the station of Hope-

Get a transfer.

Get a Transfer is a funny poem, however one that is full of wisdom. It will make you smile, but also should remind you that if you find yourself in one of the verses it is time to take action and change your situation. Remember the line, "get a transfer".

Having enthusiasm in performing any task gives you an abundance of energy. Showing enthusiasm also motivates others around you. An acronym for enthusiasm

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Wait for the Lord and keep his way.

Psalm 37:34

Learning when to listen and when to act, leaving room for the Holy Spirit to move in our life, is something that we learn through an active relationship with God.

The key is to cultivate openness with God that makes our whole heart available to God. And if we are patient, God's work will be completed in us, at the appointed time.

When we stop and listen, God will show us the way
