HAPPY MONDAY

Our Sunday morning started of raining, but by the time I was coming out of church the sun was out and glorious! They say today will not be quite as warm. We’ll be in the low 60’s and it’ll be windy.

I was blessed by having DS#5, DD, and the Newlyweds all at church with me yesterday. It’s always nice to have some family there with me. Next Sunday is Easter so they’ll probably be there again. Our family celebration for Easter won’t be until the 15th so hopefully I’ll have them there 3 weeks in a row…we may even have a few more of DS#1 and DS#3 and their families make it in.

I have Good Friday off work so it’ll be only a 4 day work week this week. I’m looking forward to having the day off. I’ve got to get some house cleaning done and things ready for Easter.

Years ago, when the Betty Crocker Company first began selling their cake mixes, they offered a product which only needed water. All you had to do was add water to the mix, which came in the box, and you would get a perfect, delicious cake every time. It bombed. No one bought it and the company couldn’t understand why, so they commissioned a study which brought back a surprising answer.

It seemed that people weren’t buying the cake mix because it was too easy. They didn’t want to be totally excluded from the work of preparing a cake; they wanted to feel that they were contributing something to it. So, Betty Crocker changed the formula and required the customer to add an egg in addition to water.

Immediately, the new cake mix was a huge success.
