TODAY'S QUOTE

All that we are comes from God. Give thanks

HAPPY 'SUDDENLY' SUNDAY !

After all the preparation and work, another holiday is gone ALL too fast. It always takes longer to get ready for a celebration than the celebration its self. We all enjoyed a lot of good food, some games, and catching up on what's new with every one. Our 'sunshine'babes called this afternoon too, they were waiting for 'Gamma'to come their way - they just took the storm shutters down from when Wilma went through.

Today after church the Newly Weds will be loading up the Christmas decorations they had stored in my attic and taking them home. Then the last of of my family will be gone until almost one month from now when we celebrate Christmas.

I'm so thankful for all the blessings we have received this year. Our 'Star' said  it all when he said I'm thankful for my family!

TODAY'S SMILE

Where's the Turkey??

Ducking into confession with a turkey in his arms, Brian said, "Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. I stole this turkey to feed my family. Would you take it and assuage my guilt?" "Certainly not," said the priest. "As penance, you must return it to the one from whom you stole it."

"I tried," Brian sobbed, "but he refused. Oh, Father, whatshould I do?" "If what you say is true, then it is all right for you to keep it for your family." Thanking the priest, Brian hurried off.

When confession was over, the priest returned to his residence. When he walked into the kitchen, he found that someone had stolen his Thanksgiving turkey.

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying

Romans 13:13

Honesty is one of the most desirable traits one can exhibit. When you have a reputation for honesty, you gain the trust of friends, family and business associates. You also have a clear conscience, which allows for more peaceful living We rush ahead, making promises we can't keep, or doing things we regret. Thus we open ourselves to dishonesty. Although it isn't always easy, when you try to do your best to be honest, you are honoring the Lord
