HAPPY ‘FINALLY’ FRIDAY !
It’s here again, my favorite day of the week. Everything looks brighter, knowing that I now have two days off to do the things I like to do. I might be trying to enjoy work more, but I still like ‘home’ better.
My weekend will be filled with painting – 1/3 of my Christmas gifts need to be done this weekend according to the list. I certainly will try.
I think after today the rain is supposed to come back, so I’ll be trying to soak up some rays today! That’s hard to do when you’re stuck inside an office, but hopefully I’ll get out at lunch.
Take good care all !
Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY IS... LUCKY REPUBLICAN DAY
It all began back in 1924 when Calvin Coolidge was elected to the top office of the United States. The election was held on November 4
History repeated itself in 1952 General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in World War II, was running against Democrat Adlai Stevenson. Once again, Election Day was on November 4, and Ike won - the first Republican presidential victory in 24 years. Eisenhower became the 34th U.S.
President Ronald Reagan won in his race against the incumbent, Jimmy Carter. Mr. Reagan was elected President of the United States on this day in 1980.
It was Election Day and it was November 4.
The moral of this story is that if you’re a Republican running for president of the U.S., make sure you do it in a year when Election Day falls on November 4th - next time will be in 2008
We’ll see then how lucky November 4th is for the Republicans!

TODAY'S SMILE
The social studies teacher had just finished a unit on war and peace. "How many of you," he asked, "would say you're opposed to war?" Not surprisingly, all hands went up.
The teacher asked, "who'll give us the reason for being opposed to war?" A large, bored-looking boy in the back of the room raised his hand. "Johnny?" The teacher said. "I hate war," Johnny said, because wars make history, and then some poor, innocent kid has to memorize all about it
