HAPPY TUESDAY!
It was a hot one on Monday! At about 3 in the afternoon it was 93 degrees here. Everything was looking a little wilted…including me for sure.
Today we should be back in the low 80’s with some scattered thunderstorms…we’ll see.
Tonight is our monthly dulcimer night. I always look forward to seeing my dulcimer buddies. Anymore, it’s the only time I get to see them and catch up on all their news.

TODAY IS…MONARCH BUTTERFLY DAY
No other butterflies migrate like the monarchs of North America. They can travel up to 2,000 miles as they fly to Mexico or California for the winter. Those hatched in the fall live 8-9 months to make this long trip both ways. As caterpillars, they only eat plants in the milkweed family, but the adult monarchs drink nectar from many different kinds of flowers. Nectar contains sugar, which serves as their main energy source. Plant some flowers at your house, and they might show up.

Father's Day was nearing when I brought my three-year-old son, Tyler, to the card store.
Inside, I showed him all the cards to choose for Dad and asked him to pick one. When I looked back, I saw Tyler picking up card after card, opening it up and immediately putting it back in the rack.
"Tyler, what are you doing?" I asked. "Can't you find a card for Daddy?"
"No," he replied, "I'm looking for one with money in it."

God plays no favorites. The banquet table of God is open to every one of us. Nobody likes to be mislead. We don't like to be mislead by family members, by friends, and especially by politicians.
Around the banquet table of God, however, no one will be misled. All will be invited. People like you and I will be invited. Those of us who have really messed up in life will also be invited to participate in God's gracious love and forgiveness.
The good news is... God invites all of us.
