TODAY’S QUOTE

Memories are kind of like patchwork quilts.... no two alike and yet together they make a very warm and protective comforter!

HAPPY FINALLY SATURDAY!

I’m off to Dad’s early this morning. I did come home for the night as the critters need a little TLC. I’m afraid they’ve been quite deserted lately.

Dad seems just about the same, nothing really new to report. Thankfully I’m off work now for two days, so I’ll be able to spend more time with him.

We have been blessed with some wonderful sunny days here.

Thank the good Lord , Have a great day all !

Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TODAY IS…SOAP OPERA DAY

Daytime TV came from radio serials - along with the advertisers who targeted housewives. Soaps never begin and never end. They are slow paced so you can miss episodes. But, the biggest reason they are so popular is their reliance on dialogue. This is done so people can can listen to the audio portion without even watching the television set and still understand the story. Just like radio!

TODAY’S SMILE

A boy once said to God, "I know what I want when I grow up." He proceeded to give God his list: to live in a big house with two Saint Bernard's; to marry a tall, blue-eyed woman; to have three sons-one who will be a senator, one a scientist, and the other a quarterback.

He also wanted to be a mountain climber and drive a red Ferrari. As it turned out, the boy hurt his knee one-day while playing football. He could no longer climb trees, much less mountains. He married a beautiful and kind woman who was short with brown eyes. Because of his business, he lived in an apartment in the city and usually rode the subway.

He had three loving daughters, and they adopted a fluffy cat. One daughter became a nurse, one an artist and the third a music teacher.

One morning the man awoke and remembered his boyhood dream. He became extremely depressed. Heartbroken, he called out to God, "Remember when I was a boy and told You all the things I wanted? Why didn't You give me those things?"

"I could have," said God, "but I wanted to make you happy."

TODAY’S REFLECTION

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to one end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Do you love to welcome each morning? Or do you agree more with the old World War I song, "Oh, how I hate to get up in the morning"?

I love the early morning when the dew is on the ground and I can watch the sky turn purple, then coral, then gold, as the sun appears. The morning hours are golden hours, for God has given you the gift of a brand new day!

Start off with a clean slate, ready for the opportunities that lie ahead. You have a fresh start to conquer any problem that has been of concern to you. In today's scripture, Jeremiah gives his reason for being so optimistic: great is God's faithfulness.
