ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
JUNE 21ST, 2007
TODAY'S THOUGHT
In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing that you can do is nothing.
Theodore Roosevelt
TODAY’S ACTION
Make honor the bedrock of your life.
TODAY’S QUOTE
Let me give so much time to the improvement of myself that I shall have no time to criticize others.
Dean Cresham
HAPPY THURSDAY!
Summer is officially here today. I had a long 10 hour day at work yesterday as my #2 boss is on vacation til next Wednesday. My overtime will probably increase, but we’ll see….
I would like to ask for your prayers as my Dad has taken a turn for the worse. They have ordered him a hospital bed in the hopes that he will be more comfortable that way. My two sisters are caring for him. As I have to work, I’m not much help til the weekend. I can only visit awhile in the evening after work so that I can get home and get some sleep for work the next day.
I’ve been reminded once again that life is so short and we should never take one second of it for granted.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TODAY IS…IT’S FINALLY SUMMER DAY!
The first day of summer is the longest day of the year. It occurs when the earth changes it's position as it rotates around the sun - placing the sun at it's most northerly point and directly overhead. The temperature and weather will not change instantly. The warmest days usually arrive several weeks after the beginning of the summer season. And don't forget the seasons are reversed in the Southern Hemisphere.
TODAY’S TRIVIA
Today is the first day of summer or winter, depending on which hemisphere you're in. In the northern hemisphere summer begins today at 2:06 p.m. (EDT); winter begins in the southern hemisphere.
Today is Stock Up on Antiperspirant Day.
It’s National Peaches and Cream Day.
The annual Midnight Sun Baseball Game starts tonight at 10:35 p.m. in Fairbanks, Alaska, and will be played without artificial lights.
1788: The U.S. Constitution went into effect as New Hampshire became the ninth state to ratify it.
1834 - Cyrus McCormick patented the first practical reaper for farming.
1958 - Splish Splash, Bobby Darin’s first million-seller, was released by Atco Records.
TODAY’S SMILE
I know you’ve probably heard this one before, but it does bear repeating.
Have you ever watched kids on a Merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain as it patters on the ground?
Ever watched a butterfly's soft erratic flight?
Or watched as the setting sun fades into the night?
You'd better slow down and don't dance so fast.
You'll find time too short and the music wont last.
Do you rush through each day on the run, on the fly?
When you ask 'How are you?", do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lay upon your bed,
With the next hundred chores running through your head?
You'd better slow down and don't dance so fast.
You'll find time too short and the music wont last.
Ever told your child,"We'll do that tomorrow"
And in your hurried state, not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch and let old friendships die
Because you never had time to call and say "Hi!"
When you run so fast to get somewhere,
You miss half the fun of just getting there.
When you worry and hurry, all through your day,
It's like and unopened gift--Just thrown away...
Life's not a race DO take it slower.
Hear the music Before the song is over.

TODAY’S WORD
agon \AH-gahn; ah-GOHN\, noun:
A struggle or contest; conflict; especially between the protagonist and antagonist in a literary work.
It is the irresolvable love-hate agon between men and women that drives all cultures.
Lawrence Osborne
TODAY’S REFLECTION
The end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
1 Peter 4:7
God in His wisdom doesn't tell us the day of our death. Nor do we know the day of Christ's return. The Bible urges us to live for Christ and be prepared for either event.
As Christians, we need not panic as we see our time slipping away. Instead, let's live every moment for Christ and be prepared to meet Him today.
TODAY’S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC
A few drops of wintergreen oil in your recycling bins or trash compactor will freshen the air.
IT’S SUMMER !
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart
Psalm 37:4
May there be a miracle in YOUR life today and may you have the EYES to SEE it!
I Love You All !!!
Be Blessed !!!
