ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

SEPTEMBER 14TH,2006

TODAY'S THOUGHT

When we cling to pain we end up punishing ourselves.

L. Buscaglia

TODAY’S ACTION

Pursue more than just pleasure.

TODAY’S QUOTE

I always feel sorry for people who think more about a rainy day ahead than sunshine today.

Rae Foley

HAPPY THURSDAY !

I’m sipping the good coffee this morning and trying to wake up. Some mornings are just plain harder than others to get going.

I hope your morning is off to a good start and you have a little sunshine peeping through the clouds.

We had lots of rain yesterday, but I guess it’s supposed to finally clear up today.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

GOD BLESS YOU !

TODAY IS…CREAM FILLED DONUT DAY

Donuts were invented in 16th century Holland. They were called "oil cakes" and had no holes. Brought to America by the Pilgrams, they were renamed "dough nuts" because they were about the size of walnuts. It was a New England sea captain in the 1800's who poked holes in his mother's donuts to eliminate the soggy center. This changed the pastry forever. They all now have holes - except for specialty donuts like the messy cream-filled varieties.

TODAY’S SMILE

Start your day off with a great big smile because every day should be a GREAT DAY.

Q: Why is a man trying to drown sorrows in the bowl like a miser striving to amass a fortune?

A: Each is for-getting all he can.

A lady on a commuter train was reading a newspaper article about life and death statistics.

Fascinated, she turned to the man next to her and said, "Did you know that every time I breathe somebody dies?"

"Really!?" he said, "Have you tried mouthwash?"

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,' declares the Lord

Jeremiah 1:8

The Lord gave Jeremiah a difficult mission. Jeremiah was afraid of the people and tried to excuse himself. God's answer to him is today's scripture.

Many of us are like Jeremiah. We are afraid to step out in faith in new ways

"When trust removes fear, faith flows in."
