TODAY’S QUOTE

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.

John F. Kennedy, Inaugural address,

January 20, 1961 35th president of US

1961-1963 (1917 - 1963)

HAPPY MONDAY!

And HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO DS#1 AND DDIL#1

May the dear Lord bless you today and always

I’ve got my flag flying today and am remembering how thankful I was on this day in the year 2001 As I sat at work listening to the radio, I heard about a plane flying into one of the Twin Towers in New York . I thought how could an accident like that happen. Well as we all know it wasn’t an accident and lots more terror happened that day. But the reason I was so thankful wasn’t that terror happened but that my family were all safe and sound. Little by little that day I heard from each one of them. My oldest son was about to leave on a trip for work, his flight was cancelled.

Today, I’m thankful for all those that work so hard to protect us and keep us safe from terror. Fly your flag today and be proud that we live in this great country…America , the land of the free and the brave!

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

GOD BLESS YOU !

TODAY IS…TWEETY BIRD DAY

Tweety debuted in "A Tale of Two Kitties" in 1942 - and first said his famous line, "I tawt I taw a puddy tat." He was in two more cartoons before he was teamed with Sylvester in "Tweetie Pie" (1947). That cartoon won an Oscar for Warner Bros., and a winning combination of characters was born. In

1952, the pair got their own comic book, and in 1998, they were on a U.S. postage stamp.

Americans will fight all evil-doers for the inalienable right to live in our democracy. The battle cry of the United States against terrorists: “Let’s roll!” (Todd Beamer’s last words as heard by an Airfone operator minutes before Flight 93 crashed.)

American Short Story Day - Celebrated on the birthday of O. Henry. He was born, William Sydney Porter, this day in 1862. On this day we honor all short story writers.

TODAY’S SMILE

Start your day off with a great big smile because every day should be a GREAT DAY.

KIDS KNOW LOVE

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think.

"Love is that first feeling you feel before all the bad stuff gets in the way."

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth."

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."

"Love is when someone hurts you. And you get so mad but you don't yell at them because you know it would hurt their feelings."

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it every day."

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."

"Love is when mommy sees daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford."

TODAY’S REFLECTION

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly, guarding the paths of justice and preserving the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; prudence will watch over you; and understanding will guard you.

Proverbs 2:6-1

We are often told that if we ask God the desire of heart then we will receive them. This is true! The catch is that our will must be one with God’s will. Ifwe ask God for what God desires us to have then our prayers will graciously be answered. God desires nothing more than granting wisdom. The desire of the Lord is for us to follow the ways God has set before us. This proverb not only explains that God grants wisdom but also details why we need wisdom. Seek what God desires to give you and receive it graciously.
