ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

OCTOBER 1ST, 2006

TODAY'S THOUGHT

We must be willing to fail and to appreciate the truth that often "Life is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to be lived. M. Scott Peck"

TODAY’S ACTION

Be kind and generous to all people—equally—without reservation.

TODAY’S QUOTE

The best way out of a problem is through it.

Old Saying

A story comes to mind about a farmer, who ploughed around a large rock in his fields for many years. He had broken many ploughshares in that time. One day after breaking another piece of his plough he decided to finally do something about it.

When he put a crowbar under the rock he was surprised that it lifted quite easily. He lamented all the time he lost working around it, instead of working with it.

Like the farmer we often plough around problems. Often the best way of tackling any problem is to deal with it straight away and straight on.

HAPPY SUNDAY

I made it back from my road trip to the Ren Fest about 10:00 last night . This morning I’m not moving very fast and am enjoying my good cup of hot coffee. I’ll be posting some pictures for you all to see on my journal page Lots of fun was had by all !

I’m off for my dose of R & R and then out to see my Dad for a little bit. I missed my Saturday night visit and I like to check in with him at least once a week.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior

GOD BLESS YOU !

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Go away for the present, and when I find time, I will summon you

Acts 24:25

There is no record of Felix ever finding the time to summon Paul.

Procrastination is a killer of time and motivation. It borrows on tomorrow's time.

Today is yesterday's tomorrow. God has many promises, but tomorrow isn't one of them.

We can't waste a minute of unredeemable time in getting on with our purpose in life while we have time and health to do it.
