ADVENT

And Mary said, My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord: my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. For He has looked upon His handmaid’s lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.

 Luke 1:46

Christmas is a beautiful time for re-inviting God into our lives and letting His power transform the ordinary into the extraordinary Read the first and second chapters of Luke’s Gospel and spend some time reflecting on the story of Jesus’ birth and early life.

TODAY'S SMILE

Mother decided that 10-year-old Cathy should get something "practical" for Christmas. "Suppose we open a savings account for you?" mother suggested. Cathy was delighted. "It's your account, darling," mother said as they arrived at the bank, "so you fill out the application." Cathy was doing fine until she came to the space for "Name of your former bank." After a slight hesitation, she put down Piggy

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth... I Corinthians 13:6

If we truly love our neighbor as Jesus commanded, we are going to be just and honest. I'm sure most of us try to do that, but sometimes we get involved in "What else is new?" Someone has said that "gossip is what no one claims to like but what everybody enjoys." But does it exhibit God's love?

This is the season for family reunions. There may be family members there who are abrasive and difficult. There may be someone who loves to gossip and start trouble. You can choose to participate or you can help by changing the subject

So when anyone asks you "What else is new?” be sure that you have good news. Tell them the best news of all – Joy to the world, the Lord is come

TODAY'S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC

When bubbles in your coffee collect in the center of the cup, expect fair weather. If they form a ring or cling to the sides, expect rain.

DAYS UNTIL SPRING

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart

Psalm 37:4

I Love You All !!!

Be Blessed !!!
