SEASON OF CHRISTMAS

Seventh Day within the Christmas Octave

But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God.

John 1

The last day of this year. It’s a time to look back and see what we’ve done and accomplished. This year is over. Anything we need to get done has to be done now. But tomorrow, we start fresh, As we put the past day, the past year, behind us, we should keep in mind the new day, the new year to come and make the most of each new beginning.

May the Lord grant you the desires of your heart and give you Joy. May the Lord Bless your heart and give you comfort

HAPPY SATURDAY !

AND HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!

Time to get rid of the old (Christmas decorations) and welcome the new (clean house) That’s what my 3 day weekend will consist of…no other big plans. Tonite we’ll probably visit my parents as usual for a Saturday evening and then Church on Sunday!

It seems strange having another extra day off so soon ! I’ll be enjoying it though, I’m not complaining. It’ll be a long stretch before another holiday or vacation day !

Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY'S SMILE

A grandmother was telling her little granddaughter what her own childhood was like

"We used to skate outside on a pond. I had a swing made from a tire; it hung from a tree in our front yard. We rode our pony. We picked wild raspberries in the woods."

The little girl was wide-eyed, taking this in. At last she said,

I sure wish I'd gotten to know you sooner!

TODAY'S REFLECTION

For the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts

I Chronicles 28:9

Knowing that God loves us just as we are, we want to live in a way that pleases him. There will always be someone who has a rude way of stirring up trouble.

You have a choice! You can become part of the problem or you can be a balm that soothes the spirits.

Be not disheartened by troubles,

For trials are the building blocks

On which to erect a fortress of faith

Secure on God's ageless rocks
