HAPPY MONDAY !!
Back to work!
I hope you all had a good weekend. The weather here was just beautiful and today should be nice too! Sunday went by fast like it always does.
I saw DS#6 in church and he’s doing fine and was having a rare weekend at home without a lot of other things going on. The campers got situated on their new camp sites but forgot to take cameras so no pictures yet. And DS#6 called to say they’ve been busy packing. This coming Saturday is their moving day and they are happy about that for sure.
I’m looking forward to a good week and wish the same for all of you !
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TODAY IS…EAT A PRETZEL DAY
The origin of the Pretzel can be traced to about 610 A.D. in one of the monasteries of Southern France or Northern Italy. An imaginative monk wanted to use the dough left over after baking bread, so he made strips and formed them to represent children's arms folded in prayer. He called each one a "Pretiola" - the Latin word for little reward. Today over 300 million pounds of Pretzels and Pretzel Products are produced every year.

TODAY’S SMILE
REMEMBER WHEN…
"Hey Mom," one of my kids asked the other day, "what was your favorite fast food when you were growing up?"
"We didn't have fast food when I was growing up," I informed him. "All the food was slow."
"C'mon, seriously. Where did you eat?"
"It was a place called 'at home,'" I explained. "Grandma cooked every day and when Grandpa got home from work, we sat down together at the dining room table, and if I didn't like whatshe put on my plate I was allowed to sit there until I did like it."
By this time, the kid was laughing so hard I was afraid he was going to suffer serious internal damage, so I didn't tell him the part about how I had to have permission to leave the table.
TODAY’S WORD
nonchalant \nahn-shuh-LAHNT adjective :
having an air of easy unconcern or indifference
Colette was amazed that Ryan could remain so nonchalant after being informed that he had won the scholarship.
Since "nonchalant" comes ultimately from Latin words meaning "not" and "be warm," it's no surprise that the word is all about keeping one's cool.
Unconcerned" is one synonym of "nonchalant," along with "casual," "complacent," and "insouciant."
TODAY’S REFLECTION
They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing. Psalm 92:14
If you are still young and energetic, you may find it difficult to sympathize with the feelings that afflict many older people. But those who have passed the midpoint on life’s journey and have begun to descend the westering slope can appreciate what David said: "I have been young, and now am old" (Ps. 37:25).
And because aging often brings with it pain and loss, there may be those who vainly wish that their summertime days would never end.
No matter where we are on the heavenward pilgrimage, if we are walking with Jesus we can rejoice. And since we know that our faithful Father will abide with us till our journey on earth is over, we can actually be thankful for the lengthening shadows and the setting sun.
To live is Christ; to die is gain. —The apostle Paul
