TODAY’S ACTION

Encourage the hearts of people around you simply by being there.

TODAY’S QUOTE

The rung of a ladder was never meant to rest upon, but only to hold someone's foot long enough to enable them to put the other somewhat higher.

Thomas Henry

HAPPY TUESDAY !!

BrrrChill !

It is really cold here. The wind just keeps blowing and the temps keep dropping. We had some snow yesterday that stuck to the ground, but then mostly melted off. Today we could get some more.

Our snow belt in northern Ohio is supposed to have several inches on the ground. Thankfully I live west of that.

I don’t have to go out in the evening til the Thursday Bible Study and that is a good thing for sure. It’s just about dark by the time I get home and with the cold all I want is my warm house and a good cup of something warm to drink. It could be a hot cup of soup, coffee, tea, cocoa etc. Anything warm is great.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S PRAYERS

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TO REMEMBER…

I am in the hands of God, and in God’s time all things will be made well.

TODAY IS…CRACKER JACK DAY

In the early 1890s, F.W. Rueckheim started selling peanuts and caramels at his popcorn stand. He then combined all three products to sell at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. He called his invention "Candied Popcorn and Peanuts". When a friend tried the new combination, he yelled out "That's Crackerjack!" to change the name. The snack was immortalized in 1908 in the song "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" with the words "Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack."

TODAY’S SMILE

Santa’s Christmas Prayer

The sleigh was packed, the reindeer were fed, But Santa still knelt by the side of the bed.

"Dear Father," he prayed "Be with me tonight. There's much work to do and my schedule is tight.

I must jump in my sleigh and streak through the sky, Knowing full well that a reindeer can't fly.

I will visit each household before the first light, I'll cover the world and all in one night.

With sleigh bells a-ringing, I'll land on each roof, Amid the soft clatter of each little hoof.

To get in the house is the difficult part, So I'll slide down the chimney of each little heart.

My sack will hold toys to grant all their wishes. The supply will be endless like the loaves and the fishes.

I will fill all the stockings and not leave a track. I'll eat every cookie that's left for my snack.

I can do all these things Lord, only through You,

I just need your blessing, then it's easy to do.

All this is to honor the birth of the One,

That was sent to redeem us,

Your most Holy Son.

So to all of my friends, lest Your glory I rob,

Please Lord, remind them, who gave me this job." .

TODAY’S REFLECTION

She will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.

Matthew 1:21

No doubt the Jews of Jesus’ day who were living under the oppressive thumb of Rome had to wonder if God would ever make good on His promise to send a Deliverer who would forgive sin and restore the glory of Israel

God had long ago promised them a Redeemer, but they hadn’t heard a word from Him in 400 years. But then, at just the right moment, the angel announced to Joseph that Mary would give birth to a Son who would “save His people from their sins” (Matt. 1:21)

Christmas proves that God is a promise-keeping God! He said that He would send a Deliverer, and He did..

You can count on it—God makes good on His promises
