HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY !!
We had a down and out chilly day yesterday. Even with the sunshine, you really had to bundle up tokeep warm. I did and I was for sure.
I went to my Bible study last night and even though there weren’t many there it was a good study. I suppose many didn’t want to brave the cold.
Fridays are always good days…the end of the work week has come and there is a nice weekend ahead to look forward to.
Tomorrow I’m going with DD and her hubby to visit the ‘Newlyweds’. I think we’ll be helping them decorate a bit. They are excited to be in their new home and dressing it up for Christmas!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
As the nation pauses on December 7 to observe the 57th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, give thanks for the many brave troops who sacrificed their lives or who were involved in that great conflagration. Pray for veterans of that event who survive, asking God to strengthen and comfort them, and give thanks for the great freedoms of liberty that we enjoy.
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
Pray for our troops who serve with faithfulness and diligence during this difficult holiday season, asking God to cover them with His powerful protection and care. Pray for loved ones who miss them back home to be strengthened by God’s grace, and pray for those who are dealing with wounds and injuries whether physical or emotional, that they will be made whole through Jesus Christ our Lord
Pray for those in Oregon and Washington impacted by storms and subsequent flooding this week. Pray for help and relief to get to those most in need, and give thanks for National Guard troops who are playing a key role in rescue and recovery efforts. My Constant Prayer Let there be Peace on Earth Amen

TODAY’S WORD

1. To pluck up by the roots; to uproot.
2. To displace from one's native or accustomed environment.
Deracinate comes from Middle French desraciner, from des-, "from" (from Latin de-) + racine, "root" (from Late Latin radicina, from Latin radix, radic-). The noun form is deracination.
TODAY’S REFLECTION
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. — so Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.
Luke 2:1 & 4
Advent is the Christian season in which we await both the celebration of the birth of Jesus and also the second coming of Christ, as promised: "So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him" (Hebrews 9:28).
The story of Jesus' birth gives the reason for Joseph and Mary being in Bethlehem. Who would think that having to travel for a census became part of God's plan for fulfilling his promises? Yet this brings to pass the prophecy made by Micah: "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel" (Micah 5:2).
So many times things happen in our lives that surprise and puzzle us…Trust God, for the events of today may be the cause of great blessings tomorrow. Advent season reminds us that there is great blessing in having the patience to wait on the Lord
