TODAY’S QUOTE

It's the little things in life that determine the big things.

HAPPY TUESDAY !!

Another rainy day they say for us today. As long as it doesn’t freeze I guess that is all right. It is tricky when the temps hover in the 30’s. I can be thankful for a nice warm home this time of year.

The ‘Newlyweds’ haven’t been so lucky the past few days. When we were visiting Saturday we could smell gas so they had it checked out and sure enough they not only had a leak but multiple ones. So the gas company promptly shut off the gas and that shut off their heat.

Today it will be fixed and hopefully by this evening they’ll have a nice warm home again. Please say a little prayer all goes right for them. I’m thankful that it was found and is being fixed.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S PRAYERS

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TO REMEMBER…

I am in the hands of God, and in God’s time all things will be made well.

TODAY IS…AURORA BOREALIS DAY

The first display of the Northern Lights was recorded in America. The sighting was made in New England on this day in 1719. The report said that a mysterious face seemed to appear in the atmosphere; and, since most aurora borealis displays occur in September and October and again in March and April, this is very strange, indeed! The green, red, and frost-white light displays occur most frequently when there is a great deal of sunspot activity

The nickname, meaning rustic, is not a good decription of Indianapolis, the major metropolis that is its capital. However, much of the state is still farmland, and the little state flower, the peony, grows in many Hoosier front yards. The cardinal, the state bird, is also the state bird of each of the states (except Michigan) that border Indiana.   Illinois Kentucky and Ohio.

TODAY’S WORD

perspicacity \pur-spuh-KAS-uh-tee\, noun:

Perspicacity comes from Latin perspicax, perspicac-, "sharp-sighted," from perspicere, "to look through," from per, "through" + specere, "to look."

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hillside and go in search of the stray?

Matthew 18: 12-14

In the Palestine of Jesus' time there were no fences and flocks were small. The shepherd knew each sheep well, probably by name. The sheep would be so attached to their shepherd that they would not wander far.

The parable shows the deep attachment the shepherd has for the lost sheep. He wants so desperately to find and bring back that sheep.

Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He wants any stray or lost ones to rejoin the fold and be under his continued care and love.
