HAPPY MONDAY !!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our ‘Little Ray of Sunshine’

May the dear Lord bless you today and always

! Our birthday boy had his party at home on Saturday so I’ll probably have some pictures to share with you all soon.

It is back to work this morning and I’m up and sipping that good coffee once more. I’m thankful for another day and have great hopes for it and all the days to come.

The weather man says we should have a sunny week with temps in the mid 70’s to low 80’s . That sounds pretty good for sure.

Tuesday I have a dental appointment after work, this is one of 3 more to get my new remake of the partial. Then in the evening will be joining my dulcimer buddies for some fun and a little music to bless our hearts with.

This coming weekend will be our town’s Apple Festival. I think a few of my babes will be coming in for that. There is not a whole lot to see there, but there is plenty of food to eat. So I’ll be hoping our good weather continues.

My camping babes checked in and they had a delightful but cool weekend.  The campfire was extra big so keeping warm was no problem for them.  Of course the campers have a furnace in them.  They camp in style for sure.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

Today is M*A*S*H Day, marking the TV shows premier on this date in 1972. It lasted 11 years.

Today is National Apple Dumpling Day.

1787 - The Constitution of the United States of America was signed by delegates from twelve states at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, PA. The U.S. Constitution is the world’s oldest working Constitution.

1920: Meeting at a Canton, Ohio, car dealership, 11 teams paid $100 each to join the new American Professional Football League: Akron Pros, Canton Bulldogs, Cleveland Indians, Dayton Triangles, Rock Island Independents, Racine Cardinals, Hammond Pros, Muncie Flyers, Rochester Jeffersons, and Decatur Staleys. Massillion paid the fee, but never fielded a team. The Staleys eventually became the Chicago Staleys, then the NFL Chicago Bears. Canton is now the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

1955 - The Perry Como Show moved to Saturday nights on NBC-TV. Soon, U.S.A. audiences would “Sing along with me ... I’m on my way to the stars...”

TODAY’S SMILE

In the not too distant past -I remember very well-

Grandma's tended to their knitting,

and their cookies were just swell.

They were always at the ready,

 when you needed some advice.

And their sewing (I can tell you)

Was available - and nice.

Well, Grandma's not deserted you.

 She dearly loves you still.

You just won't find her cooking,

but she's right here at the till.

She thinks about you daily -

you haven't been forsook.

Your photos are quite handy,

in her Pentium III notebook.

She scans your art work now though,

and combines it with cool sounds,

to make electronic greetings.

She prints pictures by the pounds.

She's right there when you need her,

You really aren't alone.

She's out now with her "puter" pals,

but she took her new cell phone.

You can also leave a message on her answering machine;

or page her at the fun meet.

She's been there since nine fifteen.

Yes, the world's a very different place,

there is no doubt of that.

So "E" her from her web page,

or join her in a chat.

She's joined the electronic age,

and it really seems to suit her.

So don't expect the same old gal,

cause Grandma's gone "Computer."

TODAY’S REFLECTION

But Moses said to the LORD, "O my Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor even now that you have spoken to your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue." Then the LORD said to him … 'Now go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you are to speak.

Exodus 4:10—12

One of the great leaders of the faith, Moses, as we are able to read in our passage today, had a speech impediment. And yet, when he brings this rationale before the Almighty, God refuses to accept it as a reason why Moses should be released from the Call that has been placed before him. In fact God reminds Moses that he will have Divine wisdom guiding him not only in what he is to say, but also how it will be said.

The next time that you think to yourself, "I wouldn't know what to say", remember Moses. He was right there with you in that sentiment and, ultimately, he recognized that God was with him (and his mouth) so that all that needed to be said, could be said. http://www.dailyguideposts.com
