TODAY'S QUOTE

To love deeply in one direction makes us more loving in all others

Anne Sophie Swetchine

HAPPY THURSDAY!

There was a heavy frost on the ground yesterday morning, but it did warm up in the 50’s after the sunshine came out. It was sunny all day ! My bosses did not remember Profession Administrative Assistant’s Day, but they did remember to give me stacks of work to do !

It was very busy at work and I still have lots to finish up today. I do like it when we get busy though, the days pass much quicker. One more day and the weekend will be here !

Take good care all !

Have a great day ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS...ARBOR DAY

The first Arbor Day was April 10, 1872 in Nebraska. That state was a barren plain, so the pioneers missed the trees - they also needed them for windbreaks, firewood and shade. Prizes were offered to the towns that planted the most trees on that one day. (It was estimated that more than one million trees were planted.) Over the years, This Date spread to other states and other countries. It is generally celebrated the last Friday of April, but the date is flexible to allow for local climates.

TODAY'S TRIVIA

Today is National Prime Rib Day.

1888: The British oil company Esso was formed in London.

1937: The first Social Security payment was made in the United States.

TODAY'S SMILE

TWO JOKES FOR THE GOLFERS TODAY

Sam, the old geezer, complained to his wife, "I am lucky to still be able to walk around the course and hit the golf ball, but what good is it when I can't see where the ball went?" His wife said, "You just need to find someone to go out there with you and watch the ball." Sam thought that was a great idea, and his friend Harry would be just the guy to invite. He was always bragging about still having good eyesight.

So that's how they found themselves at the first tee one sunny day. Sam hit the ball plenty hard, and he could hardly wait to find out where it went. "Did you see where the ball went, Harry?" "Yep." "Well, where did it go."

"...I can't remember."

In Africa, some of the native tribes have a custom of beating the ground with clubs and uttering spine chilling cries. Anthropologists call this a form of primitive self-expression.....

In America we call it golf.

TODAY'S WORD

ca·coph·o·ny noun.

1. Jarring, discordant sound; dissonance: heard a cacophony of horns during the traffic jam.

2. The use of harsh or discordant sounds in literary composition, as for poetic effect.

TODAY'S REFLECTION

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3: 2-3

I don't think that Paul meant that we were to go around with our head in the clouds, not relating to what is going on around us. We live in this world, but our thoughts and goals are spiritual, if we really love the Lord

TODAY'S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC

Don't count your fish until they're on dry land

55 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your Heart

Psalm 37:4

I Love You All !!!

Be Blessed !!!
