TODAY'S QUOTE

It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not.

HAPPY SUNDAY!

I’m off to church as usual this morning for my weekly dose of R&R. We had a lovely Easter celebration yesterday and even though it was very cold, the sun was shinning and the little ones were able to have an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. I took lots of pictures and will be posting them on my journal page for you to see.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need.

I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior

TODAY IS...SAFETY PIN DAY

Before buttonholes, the world got dressed with pins. The Romans fastened their robes at the shoulder with a straight pin that had a coil in the middle allowing it to bend. This evolved into a U-shaped pin about 1000 B.C. - and pin makers eventually started to cover the sharp end with wire. During the late Middle Ages, the British decided pins should only be sold on certain days of the year. Women began saving "pin money" to go to the shops to buy their pins.

TODAY'S SMILE

After her son fell into the pond yet again and came home with his good school clothes dripping wet, the exasperated mother sent him to his room and washed and dried his clothes.

A little later, she heard a commotion in the back yard and called out, "Are you out there wetting your pants again!?" There was dead silence for a moment. Then a deep, masculine voice answered meekly, No, ma'am, I'm just reading the meter

TODAY'S REFLECTION

About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?' which means, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'

Matthew 27:46

All of us seek the security of those who care for us, but we cannot depend on anyone to be there all the time. God will never forsake us!
