HAPPY TUESDAY !!
I hope those of you that live in Ohio will be careful on the roads today. Overnight snow and then rain and ice this morning are making roads treacherous and I’m wishing I could stay in and not go to work, but I will. I’ll go slow and hopefully will have no problems.
We had plenty of warning for this one so the road crews should be on top of things. I know I’ll be glad to get home tonight and stay in.

This was Jesus' direction to his apostles before he ascended to the Father, and they followed his directions willingly. Let's consider what that meant. They waited one day, two days, three days — but nothing happened. I wonder if I might not have become a little doubtful at that point, for I have become so used to "instant this" and "instant that" in today's world.
But the disciples continued to be patient Luke goes on to tell us that their patience was rewarded, for they finally received what Jesus had promised. "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. — All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." (Acts 2:1 & 4).
