HAPPY WEDNESDAY !!

OVER THE HUMP DAY!

It’s a good feeling to know that we are half way through this work week. We had another party cloudy day on Tuesday so some more of our snow had a chance to melt.

Work was pretty busy and today it should move right along too as I’ve plenty to do. I heard from DS#4 on Monday evening and he has plans to meet up with DS#2 on a business trip he has to go on. I’m sure they will both enjoy seeing each other. DS#2 doesn’t get a chance to see any family very often as the military keeps him on the go so much.

DS#4 does a lot of traveling too, but for his work not the military. Rarely does he happen to be where there is some family to visit, so this trip will be more enjoyable than some he takes. My babes were all very close growing up and they sure do love it when they can be together. I do too !

It was very foggy going to work yesterday and I suppose it will be again. With a little warmer temps and snow melting, the conditions are just right for it.

TAKE GOOD CARE ALL !

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

 TODAY’S PRAYERS

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. God Bless You All !

25 WORDS

God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name

TO REMEMBER…

I am in the hands of God, and in God’s time all things will be made well.

TODAY IS…GIRL SCOUT DAY

Originally modeled after the British Girl Guides. The first group was started in Savannah, Georgia in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low - with 18 members. Her dream was to get girls out of the house to serve in the community and enjoy the open air. Girl Scouts became a national organization in 1915 and has been growing ever since. And, boy, can they sell cookies!

1974 - Wonder Woman, the TV movie, came to ABC-TV, starring ... are you ready??? Cathy Lee Crosby. In November 1975, another Wonder Woman TV movie aired starring Lynda Carter. Eventually, after a series of specials, Wonder Woman became a regular CBS-TV show, still starring Lynda Carter in the title role. Wonder Woman’s real name, for those who have lost sleep wondering about such trivia, was Yeoman Diana Prince.

TODAY’S SMILE

This story was told by Paul Harvey on the radio several years ago: A young woman was driving home from work when she snagged her fender on the bumper of another car.

She was in tears as she explained that it was a new car, only a few days from the showroom. How was she ever going to explain the damaged car to her husband? The driver of the other car was sympathetic, but explained that they must note each others license numbers and registration numbers.

As the young woman reached into a large brown envelope to retrieve the documents, a piece of paper fell out. In a heavy masculine scrawl were these words: "In case of accident ... remember, honey, it's you I love, not the car!"

TODAY’S REFLECTION

When he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck Luke 15: 11-24

Jesus’ most memorable story, The Prodigal Son, ends with a banquet scene, featuring as its hero a good-for-nothing who has soiled the family reputation. Those judged undesirable by everyone else—like the prodigal son—are infinitely desirable to God.

When one of them turns to God, a party breaks out Because of God’s great grace, we can be agents of His holiness, for He now dwells within us. We can seek, as Jesus did, for ways to be a source of holiness. The sick and the maimed are not hot spots of contamination but potential reservoirs of God’s mercy. We are called to extend that mercy, to be conveyers of grace, not avoiders of contagion. No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace
