TODAY’S QUOTE
Whenever you do a thing, act as if all the world were watching.

HAPPY MONDAY !!
BACK TO WORK
I’ve got my green on so I’m ready to start the day. I really do have a small portion of Irish in my family tree so I have to put my green on today to celebrate St.Patrick’s Day.
The week ahead should be a pretty good one weather wise. I see some temps in the 40’s here in the long range forecast and except for a couple of wet days midweek, we should also be seeing some sunshine. Maybe all our snow will actually melt before Easter. That would be a blessing
On my calendar besides work for this week is:
Thursday evening – Holy Thursday services at church
Saturday – Leave for DS#1’s house and will return on Sunday afternoon
There will be some long work days ahead for me as the boss is on vacation for 2 weeks and I’m the only one in the office…that will make for a few 10 hour days for sure. He said I could leave at 4:30 instead of 5 if there wasn’t anything going on so I’ll probably do just that.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me, and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God, and in God’s time all things will be made well.

Why do so many Irish names begin with "O'?"
I wonder how many people who will be affecting an Irish accent will know just what this name form is all about. It reflects a practice found in many cultures: the use of the "patronymic."
Last names originated in the Middle Ages when men, who embodied the continuity of the family, started to be identified by their relationship to their immediate ancestors. The son of David, for example, might take the name Davidson.
The Scots used "Mac," which meant "the son of," for this purpose. And so with the Irish and the "O'," except here it meant "the grandson of, " possibly because one of the first to use it, Teigue, grandson of Brian, High-King of the Irish in the 11th century, started to call himself Ua Briain (Gaelic for O'Brian) after his famous grandfather.

Irish Sayings:
The older the fiddle the sweeter the tune
It’s no use boiling your cabbage twice
If you lie down with dogs you’ll rise with fleas
There never was an old slipper but there was an old stocking to match it
Firelight will not let you read fine stories but it’s warm and you won’t see the dust on the floor
Humor to a man is like a feather pillow. It is filled with what is easy to get but gives great comfort
It’s no use caring an umbrella if your shoes are leaking
A silent mouth is sweet to hear
Every patient is a doctor after his cure
Neither give cherries to pigs nor advice to a fool
You’ll never plough a field by turning it over in your mind
An Irish Friendship Wish
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
God Bless.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Take a guard, Pilate told them; Go and make the tomb as secure as you can.
Matthew 27:65
Security is a natural desire for all of us. We all feel the need for some form of security, and most search for many layers of it. We want our identity to be secure. We want to secure the best deal on a new car or home. We long for financial security. We want to make sure that our national security is strong
Too often we get so wrapped up in the busyness of securing security that we don't realize we are looking in all the wrong places. If we were to stop and look back over our lives, we might just notice that what we're doing hasn't been working very well!
We are spending our lives chasing down a false security, just like Pilate who thought a few guards would keep Jesus in the tomb. Where then is real security? In the hands of our Father, and in His hands alone.
He is the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. He is Love, and He calls us His children
