ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

DECEMBER 29TH,2006

TODAY'S THOUGHT

Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand-and melting like a snowflake...

Marie Beyon Ray

TODAY’S ACTION

Do not wait; the time will never be "just right." Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.

Napoleon Hill

TODAY’S QUOTE

To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone.

Reba McIntyre

HAPPY FINALLY FRIDAY

I'm just glad the end of this week has come.  Since I went back to work on Wednesday, I feel like I'm only really half here.  The other half of me wants to be at home--not work.

Just a few days left of DS#2's visit.  The time has gone way to fast and my grandson is disappointed that we had no snow to play in.  He had been so excited to come here thinking he'd finally get to see snow and what happens??? Rain!

I tried to explain that I had no control over the weather, but that didn't help much.

Guess Grand'ma' is in the doghouse.  That's about par for the course.

Have a great day all !  Another wonderful one on the Way!

Please pray for God's protection of our troops and HIS wisdom for their commanders.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

TODAY IS… TICK TOCK DAY

TIME IS RUNNING OUT

All those plans you made, dreams you had for 2006…

it’s time –just do it !

TODAY’S SMILE

GOD’S CAKE

Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this", or "Why did God have to do this to me". Here is a wonderful explanation!

A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake." "

Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers. "Yuck" says her daughter. "How about a couple raw eggs?" "Gross, Mom!" "Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?" "Mom, those are all yucky!"

To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

God works the same way.

Many times we wonder! why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good!

We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

God is crazy about you.

He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.

Whenever you want to talk,

He'll listen.

He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.

I hope your day is a "piece of cake!"

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

TODAY’S REFLECTION

Martha, Martha,' the Lord answered, 'you're worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Luke 10:41-42a

When family and friends visit during this season, we tend to get very busy making sure the house is neat and meals are served.

Like Martha, we become worried and upset and thus miss out on the joys that surround us

Take time to enjoy your family. Don't let chores to be done or food to be cooked spoil your disposition. Don't miss out on the joys of Christmas, for lost time is never found again.
