ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

MARCH 7TH, 2006

TODAY'S THOUGHT

The glory of friendship is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

TODAY'S ACTION

Look forward and say "I can";

don't look backward and say “I should have.”

TODAY'S QUOTE

When we do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another

Helen Keller

 HAPPY TUESDAY!

I’m off to work this morning and then home to a quiet evening.

Saturday all, but the out-of-state children, will be coming in for our March birthdays celebration, so I guess I best get some of the ‘stuff’ that accumulates around here put away and clean up a bit. I do tend to let things go when I’m here alone.

Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS...SALT WATER DAY

Why is ocean water salty? River water picks up mineral salts from rocks and soil as it flows to the ocean. Not much salt is in that river water, but hold on! Ocean water only evaporates (or freezes into polar ice), and the salt stays behind, so... over time, the ocean just gets saltier and saltier. If all the salt was taken from the oceans and sprinkled on land, it would make a layer about 500 feet deep - as high as a 40 story building. Now, that's a lot of salt

ONE MORE

If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was, and always will be yours.

If it never returns, it was never yours to begin with.

If it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money, and never behaves as if you actually set it free in the first place,

you either married it or gave birth to it!

TODAY'S REFLECTION

The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.

Jeremiah 31:3

God’s love is unchangeable. It is everlasting. He loved us a long time ago – and he will love us into the future. He desires us to be close to Him. He will draw us unto him, so that we can receive His love.

Divine love is a sacred flower,

which in its early bud is happiness,

and in its full bloom is heaven.

Eleanor Louisa Hervey
