This week is flying by. Tonight I have the last of my prayer group meetings at the Wellspring.

Tomorrow night DS#5 and his wife will be coming over after work to start taking my kitchen apart. Last year he gave me his old cupboards (they’ve been stored in the garage) The old cupboards of his are much better than what I have….so this weekend he and DS#6 are going to try and install them in my kitchen.

Emptying out all the stuff will be a good thing…I needed to clean out a lot that never gets used anyway. The weekend will be a busy one. Never a dull moment at my house.

SCAM OF THE WEEK

I WAS SENT THIS NOTICE BY MORE THAN ONE PERSON THIS WEEK –

IT DOESN’T HURT TO BE AWARE

Most of us take those summonses for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of scam has surfaced. Fall for it and your identity could be stolen, reports CBS News.

In this con, someone calls pretending to be a court official who threateningly says a warrant has been issued for your arrest because you didn't show up for jury duty. The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Sometimes they even ask for credit card numbers.

Give out any of this information and bingo! Your identity just got stolen. The scam has been reported so far in 11 states, including Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Arizona, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Oregon and Washington state. This (scam) is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try and bully people into giving information by pretending they're with the court system.

The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on their websites, warning consumers about the fraud.

Oh, no!" he gasped as he surveyed the disaster before him. Never in his 40 years of life had he seen such devastation. How anyone could have survived, he did not know.

He could only hope that somewhere amid the overwhelming destruction he would find his 16-year-old son. Only the slim hope of finding Junior kept him from turning and fleeing the scene. He took a deep breath and proceeded.

We had quite a few thunder showers yesterday. The temps were in the 70’s and things are beginning to look very green here. By next week I should be able to find out if the lawnmower works or not. Spring has finally arrived in Northern Ohio.

Today is the last day of the work week for me. Tomorrow I’ll be heading down to DS#1’s house to spend the weekend. I’ll be sending out my e-mail on Friday Morning, but won’t have one for you on Saturday or Sunday morning. Sunday evening I’ll be home and then I’ll be back to the regular schedule on Monday.

So I’ll be saying – Happy Easter to you all now so I don’t forget.

It was a beautiful warm Tuesday and today will be warm too, but rainy. I’m waiting for the grass I planted to start growing in the back yard, so the rain will be appreciated.
