   HAPPY MONDAY ! BACK TO WORK !  

 Another busy day at work, but tomorrow is our 'Family Fun Day' so we'll just put in our 8 or 10 hours, which ever, and have some 'happy' thoughts  !   As far as I know- DS#1 and family, DD and hubby, DS#4 and family and DS#5 and wife will be all be going.  4 out of 7's not too bad.  Hopefully the sun will shine, but we've been to Cedar Point in the rain before and still had lots of fun !!!   Wednesday DS#6 comes in to get ready for the wedding... Thursday and Friday mornings they may be playing golf and Thursday evening is the bachelor party, then Friday the rehearsal and dinner and Saturday at noon is the wedding then Sunday the 'gift opening'.  Sunday afternoon the Sunshine babes leave and Monday the newly weds will take off for their honeymoon !    Well that's the plans for this week !  We'll see how it all goes.

  Mustard is a popular seasoning in kitchens around the world. But, what about those cute, little white mustard seeds? Grown in Europe and in the north part of the U.S., they have been used for lots of other interesting reasons. Ground into a powder and dried, they were an old remedy for colds and rheumatism. As a fertilizer, they will give your daffodils stronger color. You can even put dried mustard in your shoes to prevent cold feet  

EASY HONEY MUSTARD

 1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon minced onion
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon minced parsely

Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl.
Serve as a dressing over your favorite lettuce salad.

 Only one more day of work and a 3 - day weekend!   Just a note on my codes for all the kids: I have 6 sons and 1 daughter so  DD = Darlin Daughter DS = Darlin Son DSIL=Darlin Son-in-law DDIL =Darlin Daughter - in -law and the # represents birth order of my sons and their respective wives DDIL2B - is son # 6's wife to be in less than 2 weeks now then she'll be DDIL#6.   Hope that clears up any confusion I've caused.   Off to work again - Friday is a vacation day for me - Whew !!!

 We had dinner at everyone's favorite - 'O'Boys' - last night.  DD and hubby joined us.  I guess the 'Sunshine Babes' visited the Mall and DS#5 while I was at work.    Busy busy days for me !

TODAY IS...WATERMELON LOVERS DAY !  

 Watermelon is part of the pumpkin, squash and gourd family. They originated in Africa - then spread to Egypt, India and China. When the French colonized America, they found Indians growing them in the Mississippi Valley. How they got the seeds is a mystery! The good news... only 40 calories per cup and lots of vitamin C  

WATERMELON PIE  

 9-inch crumb pie shell
1 container (12 ounces) Cool Whip, thawed
1 box (3 ounces) watermelon-flavored jello
1/4 cup water
2 cups watermelon balls
1. In a large bowl, fold the Cool Whip, jello and water together.

2. Fold in the watermelon balls, then spoon it into the pie shell.

3. Chill for 2 hours before serving. Makes a very sweet pie!

   A clergyman walking down a country lane and sees a young farmer struggling to load hay back onto a wagon after it had fallen off. "You look hot, my son," said the minister. "why don't you rest a moment,  and I'll give you a hand."

"No thanks," said the young man. "My father wouldn't like it."

"Don't be silly," the Pastor said. "Everyone is entitled to a break.   Come, sit down and have a drink of water."

Again the young man protested that his father would be upset. Losing his patience, the clergyman said, "Your father must be a real slave driver. Tell me where I can find him and I'll give him a piece of my mind for working you so hard!"
